Parts Counter Person / Parts Sales

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Share responsibility in answering phones and transferring to the correct department
  • Daily check-in of special order and stock order parts from multiple manufacturers
  • Send out orders via UPS World Ship
  • Count and restock inventory
  • Communicating with customers by gathering e-mails, phone numbers, and verifying correct mailing addresses so that they can be notified on the status of their orders
  • Assist Service & Sales Departments, technicians, and walk-in customers with parts and accessories on manufacturers' parts catalogs and books
  • Ability to understand parts diagrams and accurately identify parts and accessories
  • Keep records in order of all notes, back order items, and calling to follow up on customer quotes

Requirements

Include but not limited to:

  • Must get along with others, have a positive attitude, and be motivated with strong personal self-management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb (for anything over 50 lb, we provide special equipment)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to open the parts department at 7:00 am or close the department at 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and on some Saturdays from the first Saturday in March to the first day of October 8:00 am - 12:00 pm (seasonal hours)
  • Complete ongoing manufacturer training via web-based training courses and instructor-led training
  • Experience is welcome, but we provide ongoing training
  • This position reports directly to the Parts Manager and Assistant Parts Manager

Yard Personnel / Small Equipment Assembly

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Provide support to Service and Parts Department, including loading and unloading freight truck deliveries and pick-ups
  • Keep equipment clean and prepared for immediate sale
  • Work with Sales Department to assemble equipment for sale
  • Organize equipment in the yard, including starting equipment every 30-60 days to keep batteries charged
  • Bring any general maintenance of building and grounds to owner's attention

Requirements

Include but not limited to:

  • Must work well with others
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb (for anything over 50 lb, we provide special equipment)
  • A firm understanding of how to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow precise directions
  • Accurate measuring skills

Small Engine Mechanic

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Repair handheld machinery and components
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair on light to medium duty equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Keep current of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by our organization, including manufacturer training
  • Bring to service writer's attention any additional problems found
  • Report each job at the end of the shift as to repairs completed, repairs remaining with an approximate time frame to complete additional repairs needed and/or suggested to the customer
  • Follow-up with parts department on jobs that have back ordered parts
  • Keep your immediate shop area clean and orderly and report any hazards that may affect safe working conditions
  • Keep warranty parts labeled, tagged, and organized for warranty audits
  • Notify the Service Manager or Shop Foreman when a special service tool needs repairing or constitutes a hazard
  • Maintain the appropriate company image of dedicated service to customers and co-workers
  • Properly mark equipment when repairs are complete and immediately notify service advisor when work is complete

Requirements

Include but not limited to:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working on outdoor power equipment such as Zero Turn Mowers, chainsaws and gas-powered equipment for a variety of manufacturers

Service Technician

Responsibilities

This position works under the direction of the Service Manager and/or Shop Foreman while reporting to the Service Advisor assigned to the work order and is responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on construction & landscape equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Repair machinery and components
  • Keep current of all changes in various models of equipment sold and serviced by our organization
  • Bring to service writer's attention any additional problems found
  • Report each job at the end of the shift as to repairs completed and repairs remaining, with an approximate time frame to complete additional repairs needed and/or suggested to the customer
  • Follow-up with parts department on jobs that have back ordered parts
  • Keep the immediate shop area clean and orderly, and report any hazards that may affect safe working conditions

Heavy Equipment Mechanic and Fabricator

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for but not limited to:

  • Repairs, maintenance, and/or diagnostics on all types of equipment as stated on work orders
  • Complete customer equipment inspection checklists when applicable
  • Complete detailed repair estimate and review with the Service Advisor or Manager
  • Make recommendations to any additional work necessary
  • Inspect and test equipment prior to customer release
  • Follow all OSHA safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
  • Record repairs made, time spent, and parts used on repair order in business system
  • Participate in product presentations at customer clinics, in-house open events, and/or meetings held out of state
  • Complete continuous training requirements in accordance to manufacturer requirements to maintain Service Department certification levels
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times

Requirements

Include but not limited to:

  • 5+ years' experience in all types of equipment repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repairs and maintenance
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Technical or trade school training and/or certificate is a plus
  • Possess an appropriate tool set for heavy equipment
  • Experience in electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine required
  • Welding and fabrication is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a physical, including lifting of at least 75 lb
  • Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
  • Valid driver's license is required
  • Must be available to work Monday - Friday during normal business hours
  • Be dependable with a strong work ethic and a professional and positive attitude
